Battleborn Taken King Guide

By SamusDarkthorn

So you think you're ready to take on Oryx. You weren't fooled by the end of the story missions. You know he's still alive. Come on, the sword he leaves behind falls to dust? Obviously that was a prop. Honestly, we deserve better from our bad guys. And why did he run away anyway? He can kill us all with one clap of the hands! Oh wait, you don't know that yet, ignore that part, let's move on...

So you think you're ready to take on Oryx!! Well there are 3 ways to do this

  1. The right way
  2. The wrong way
  3. The Battleborn way

We obviously, are going to do this the Battleborn way. If you want the other ways, find other guides. Or drink a lot. Its pretty much the same thing.

For the most part, this guide will cover Hard Mode because it's just like normal mode, only....harder. Seriously, most of the mechanics are the same save a couple of exceptions I'll call out.

So let's start with what you need to bring on your raid:

Q: Who are you to say which is the Battleborn way?

A: Someone who's run and taught this raid to a lot of Battleborn members. To be fair, there are lots of variations on this (some I call out), and over time this guide will change when a brilliant new strategy emerges.

Q: My way is better! Why didn't you use my ?

A: Because I wrote this, and you didn't. Nah nah nah.

Q: Do I need a Gjallarhorn?

A: Go away.

OK, we're ready to rock! Let's start with the Portal room!
